DOVER SKETCH IDEAS COMPETITION
Awarded third prize in a Dover Council / SEEDA
sponsored competition held in 2005, this submission was completed by
Richard Blackwell within one week.
The proposal extended beyond the
competition brief – to design an
iconic structure for the gateway town – and examined the issues
and suggested a number of proposals, for the afflicted and once
prosperous historic port.
The competition provided an opportunity for the
people of Dover to proclaim their support, the competition was open to
a public vote.
